Hadih! My name is Cait Bertrand (she/her) and I am so excited to be entering into my teacher candidate experience at UNBC, on the ancestral land of the Lheidli T’enneh. I finished my undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario in English Language and Literature. I began my undergraduate journey at Dalhousie, to which I transferred to Western and later went on an international exchange at the University of Copenhagen. Studying at a variety of places, with vast academic differences, gave me a broader knowledge of how many different ways there are to teach and to learn!

On a hike at the Ancient Forest in Whistler, BC

In my free time I love to read, bake, go for walks, spend time at the lake, ski (the best sport ever), and hang out with my friends and family! My favourite place to be is outdoors, which I hope will be a huge part of my future classroom. I’m so excited to see where this program takes me, so stay tuned for the ride!
